CHRISTMAS 2020

A year that was not easy for everyone, 2020, is coming to an end. This year, instead of handing out personal customer gifts, we decided to support a local non-profit organization.
This year’s Christmas donation went to Bamberger Tafel e.V. Unfortunately, the number of needy families and homeless people has increased due to the Corona pandemic. With this donation we want to support the important humanitarian work of the Bamberger Tafel for the city and district and thus help people. It’s no longer just marginalized groups, but increasingly older people and families who are in distress due to unemployment or personal fate and need help.

The advantage of Bamberger Tafel e.V. is quick and unbureaucratic help. Around 300 families come to the food bank every week to pick up food, which corresponds to a weekly turnover of around 10 tonnes. The Tafel is now even able to help beyond the supply of food. In this way, the association can also provide financial support and mediate with electricity or rent debts. The site on Hohmannstrasse also offers clothing, consumer goods and, during the current Christmas season, even Christmas trees.

The current difficult circumstances also present the Tafel with major challenges, which makes the association even more dependent on donations. Together with his son, Sandro Schreiber, Managing Director Andreas Schreiber handed over a cheque for €2,500 to the 2nd Chairman of Bamberger Tafel e.V., Mr. Heinz Zimmer, after a tour of the charity’s facilities.
